When scratches or flash appear in injection molding, don’t rush to adjust the machine first — identify which stage the problem is coming from.

When people see scratches, ejector whitening, or flash, their first reaction is often to adjust injection pressure or holding pressure settings. However, a large portion of these defects actually comes from demolding, trimming, and handling processes. These are considered “post-processing defects,” and machine parameter adjustments alone cannot solve them.

For scratches and ejector whitening, start by checking the demolding conditions.

For these issues, release lubrication is often one of the fastest and most effective improvement methods.

Before use, clean and dry the mold surface with a cleaning agent. Keep a spraying distance of 15–30 cm and spray vertically for more even and stable results.
